LG 47LE5400 47-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Internet Applications ,It has been less than a week since I got this TV and I can’t think of a better deal. I am not a review writer but was inspired by my purchase. First I have researched the price of this set in several other stores and I got a price from Amazon which is of $400 less than the average. I thought there could be something wrong with the TV because of such a great price I was getting, so I decided to wait for the truck guy personally and thoroughly inspect the package. Well, everything was perfect and the unit was the exact model I ordered, the same one I had seen at Best Buy. The condition was great, not even a scratch!

The installation was a breeze, it worked perfectly from the start, the connection to the internet was fast and my first download from Netflix was very successful. Of course, the entire family got together to enjoy our new toy. With no exception we were all amazed by the quality of the image this appliance provides. In a nutshell, buying this wonderful LED TV for $980, shipping included, has been an unbelievable experience.

Was there something wrong? Only one: The sound quality is not great, just as I read in other reviews. So using the sound from our home theater system was a must. You can’t go wrong with this TV!

BIC America DV62si Bookshelf Speakers (Pair – Black) – I was looking to replace my Boston Acoustics a60 pair after about 20 years of use. I read as many reviews as I could find on the internet and also looked at Consumers Report. I kind of narrowed it down to the JBL S26,Venturi DV62si and Polk r15. The DV62si won the competition. I auditioned each of the speakers and found the BIC pair to have a singularly beautiful sound especially for classical and jazz (which are my mainstays). I was pleasantly surprised by the bass response since CR said they were a bit “bass shy”. I recommend highly. (I have my speakers on 12 inch stands.) Bravo BIC.

Pilot G2 Fine Point Rolling Ball Black Gel Ink Pens, 2-Pack (31031) – Of all the varied pens swimming about my cubicle — we’re talking about 2 dozen and that doesn’t count the sharpies — my G2 fine point blacks are my favorite. The ink is nice and dark, it comes out easily, there are no clogs. I don’t have to press really hard like some ballpoints require and with the advent of arthritis this really matters to me. Yet normal pressure is enough to get a legible image on the second sheet in my carbonless-copy phone message book. I also like them for home use. Alas, so does our puppy….yum yum.

ProForm 290 SPX Indoor Cycle Trainer – I’ve been researching spinning bikes for home use for several months. Wanted to find something that is solid and good quality. Reading the original review about this bike on Amazon.com was extremely informative and important. I kept coming back to it to get more details. It was a great reference for me when I went shopping. So when I found the bike in a local sporting store, I knew what I had to look for & look at closely. I tested it and found that I had to look no further. I purchased it & brought it home on 7/30/10.

Here’s what I found:
Budget-friendly. Simple as that.

Made by a division of Ion Fitness which also makes several other bikes including Nordictrack. Proform has been around a while so the quality and reputation are there.

Bike is heavy, solid, & very good quality. All parts were well wrapped & assembly was a snap. From reading reviews, I knew that there would be very few parts because the main body of the bike is one piece.

LG 32LE5300 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV, Black ,This is an excellent TV, especially for the price point – beautiful, sharp colors, great viewing angle, very thin LED design, and light weight as compared to traditional LCDs. While I would generally prefer a larger screen, the space I bought it for – Armoire in a bedroom, would only accommodate 32in. This is a perfect size for a bedroom or smaller living space. I compared this TV against a leading brand 32in LED at a local store and while this LED was slightly thicker and heavier, the colors on the screen were much brighter and facial features much more defined than the competition – and best of all its less expensive. The design is very modern – sharp lines, thin LED. It states Silver Grey in the description, but the bezel and stand are glossy black. I like it so well, I just ordered another one on Amazon.com!
